During my college years, I had served as a shrine maiden at a Shinto shrine for about seven years. I also consider MEIMU as a shrine maiden, since she is a representation of the ideogram for 'dream'. In this representation, the maiden appears to sleep with her eyes open, gathering insights through her antennas atop her head.
Recently, I revisited the shrine where I once served, bringing MEIMU with me to receive a special prayer that infuses the soul. As a shrine maiden, MEIMU gains unique powers through her antenna, acting as a beacon that empowers those around her to achieve their dreams.
